Gosh can I relate to this! Both the issue and the antidote. Thanks for sharing and for all the great pictures of Dilly!

Question about your mug with Dilly’s portrait- are you able to share where you got that? Recently lost both my dogs (brutal to lose them three weeks apart) and would love a Jasper and Wally mug.

Oof, that is the kind of brutal loss that should just never be allowed to happen in this world. I'm so, so sorry to hear you lost both Jasper and Wally, period, and especially so close together. Sending a big hug your way.

My friends commissioned my Dilly mug - which I love so so much, from Alpine Earthworks Pottery: https://www.instagram.com/alpineearthworkspottery/?hl=en

I love this so much! What a delightful and refreshing read and take on society constantly vying for our attention, when the world is right there waiting, and making art each day (like 'the tide sketching in the sand' 🥲). Beautiful! ♡

Thanks so much for all of that, Niquelle! May we both find and absorb lots of the earthly art and life goodness that's >>> screens & distractions.

Love this! I just came in from a forest/lake scramble with my own "ranch" dog. So much to see and hear out there and he sure helps me find it! Love the flower photos! You've got some good ones up already. I'm still awaiting the first Trillium sighting~ Also, have you read "Digital Minimalism"? It gave me a bit of a panic, like what am I doing with all of these devices?? :)

So much love for outdoor scrambles and rompabouts with ranch dogs! Love that you've got your own to help you appreciate everything you get to take in out there. I haven't yet read Digital Minimalism - but need to add it to my list! I have listened to some interviews with the author and would love to do a deeper dive into his work. What are we doing with so many devices when we have such good ranch dogs to help us get offline!

Thanks for sharing this piece, it was so beautifully written. It is a very needed reminder to stop all the distractions and allow yourself to take in what you are seeing so that you can actually feel creative again.
